NAPA TRACS users now have the convenience of capturing and decoding vehicle information numbers (VIN) codes directly at the vehicle by using the new NAPA TRACS Mobile VIN Capture app. Once the VIN is successfully captured and decoded on a mobile device, it will instantly appear in the NAPA PROLink catalog option within the TRACS software. This feature enables users to effortlessly initiate a NAPA catalog part search, associate it with a new or existing customer, or commence an estimate or work order.

To access the NAPA TRACS VIN Capture app, NAPA TRACS users are required to download the application onto their mobile devices. Subsequently, users must authenticate themselves using secure credentials accessible in the TRACS system under the "File, Setup, Parts Catalog" section. Upon entering the "PROLink ID" credentials into their mobile devices and successfully logging into the app, users can promptly begin scanning VINs and transmitting them to TRACS, along with additional information such as customer name, tag number, mileage, symptom, and more.
